U.S. announces troop deployments to Iraq: We are dragging things out here.

The cumulative population of Iraq is less than that of California. Obviously there is no need or want to do some mass obliteration. But given the sheer numbers, why even bother? It's counter survival. Maybe we could campaign that, why don't we campaign peaceful relations with Iraq. Like

Why keep up the fight? Work to rebuild, establish and maintain fair relations. The numbers we can but fight not to expend are too great for the lands of Iraq, we are working for the survival of this planet dag nabbit.
